Cancellation Policy

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply to our cancellation policy and you can view your rights within current published legislation

As per section 28, subsection (h): Limits of application: circumstances excluding cancellation :

The following services are exempt from a cooling off period cancellation and cancellation of service .

The supply of accommodation, transport of goods, vehicle rental services, catering or services related to leisure activities, if the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.

As an additional explanation we provide a simplified version composed by Citizens Advice "You also won’t get a cooling-off period for:.... transport of goods (including courier services)....."

This means

Customers may cancel a booking but will incur a fee for doing so.

You can cancel a booking by emailing The Shift Courier Team or by calling our team on 0117 952 1111 within office hours.

The cancellation fee will be added to your invoice and have the same payment terms applied.

Unserviceable Booking (Unable to service with the booking requirements requested / provided)

If a booking becomes unserviceable due to the customer, requesting the incorrect van size, incorrect consignment weight, incorrect pickup address / delivery address, incorrect timings (This list is not exhaustive) the booking will be cancelled and the customer charged in full for the service booked.

This is because by accepting your booking details our company have declined other work to ensure that yours is fulfilled and this will be treated as a Courier Direct / Shift Courier, no fault cancellation.

In addition to requesting the incorrect service; should a customer provide inaccurate booking details as per above example which leads to the booking become unserviceable; this will be treated as a cancellation and there will be a 100 % cancellation fee applied .
